Words like "Lip," "Lid," and "Bike" are child's play to her. "St" and "Th" are still tricky, as are all the R sounds I recognise as such, though perhaps some English accents would recognise her as pronouncing Rs. For some reason "nappy" is "bappy" and "teapot" is "bebop" but I'm sure that will even out in time. "Wuhk" may be a perfectly reasonable pronunciation of "work" for this country; I used to think Linnea wasn't pronouncing "ball" yet until I listened to my father-in-law say it and realised I'd been mistaking her accent for baby-talk.

Today's new word: OK.

Good One!

And Linnea has started using the phrase 'Good one!' to me, as in:

Linnea: Please can you do

I do

Linnea: Good one Daddy!

Neither myself or Ailbhe have any idea where she picked the phrase up from though.

Even 'wuk' can pass for 'work' if you're up north.

For some reason "nappy" is "bappy"

I wonder whether that is that the "b" sound is easier than "n"? Theo also said "bappy" for a while. Unfortunately he has now shifted to "beeah" for his nappy. Goodness knows where he got that from.
