Nollaig and Tadhg Kenneally-Owen died more tragically than most a year ago today. Let us not forget them, and if you know any new mothers who appear depressed or overwhelmed, reach out. Be there. It's almost impossible to ask for help when you're overwhelmed with depression, and depression and a small baby combined makes it much harder.

They are at peace now but Nollaig's family will never, ever "get over it". Ever. How could they?

My renewed condolences to you, and to the rest of their family. And my own experience may be irrelevant (different circumstances), but it *does* get easier after a while, even though, as you said, "getting over it" is probably unrealistic.

*sad*

You're doing a good thing by making sure people don't forget.

*hugs and love*

I think of the posts you've made about Nollaig and Tadhg from time to time, and am reminded of the importance of not just being there for friends with babies and small children, but actively making sure to do anything I can for them, and making it clear that when I ask how they're doing, I really want to hear the honest answer. It's painful to do it, what with the infertility and its attendant miseries, but I know crushing, suicidal depression and can't imagine how much more hellish and terrifying it is for women with children. I will always help in whatever way I can, because not enough people do.
