My children are marvellous

ailbheAfter sitting on the tarmac with the seatbelt sign on for slightly more than two hours, they then sat through take-off with the seatbelt sign on, behaved beautifully throughout the flight, and were very good about the seatbelt sign when it came back again. Emer went to sleep and Linnea was cooperative and well-beahved when we got off the plane and went to find baggage.
This was in notable and distinct contrast to other passengers who had, it must be inferred, really big penises. I was tired enough to say this in front of Linnea, which was, um, unwise.
So we landed at 11:10 and got the airport coach to the hotel after we'd collected our bags, arriving in our room almost exactly two hours later. Linnea fell asleep on the coach and was transfered directly to her bed; Emer woke up and took a while to settle.
Emer really wanted to brush her teeth and go to bed but it was all too unfamiliar. She asked for toothbrushing and Rob did it, but it took a while after that for sleep to find her. She's still asleep now. Then when Linnea woke (about 8:30) she sat up and said "You have to brush your teeth before you go to bed!" so I brushed her teeth, and she snuggled back in bed with her teddy for about three minutes.
The hotel is nice, unsurprisingly. I shall be wandering about the ground later on. Children under 17 go free. The porter left too quickly to tip him after he delivered all our bags. There's shower gel in the bathroom with a woman's name on - presumably designer something. We have tons and tons of towels.
We just need to get to and through the wedding. The hotel is going to be a delight.
Later: As I was typing the above the phone rang, and number three sister called to say she was AT the hotel, waiting for us, with instructions. All our travel plans for the day have been overridden and so have our lunch plans. God, I love family.
