When we eat out we often get crayons or pencils to take away. John Lewis gives these great (plastic) snap-together crayons so you have six colours in one stick.

We also acquire huge quantities of stickers and coloured paper, goodness knows where from.

In my handbag, along with clean nappies, clothes, bottles of water etc, I carry a clear plastic pencil case containing bits of coloured paper and card cut down to size, bits of white ditto, two or three crayon-sticks as above, various stickers (letters or numbers and animals and inanimate objects or patterns). The paper often comes from memo blocks people give Rob, which he never uses but they're useful anyway.

For the wedding, I'm giving the girls their own handbags, with their own art kits. Same as usual, but I'm making them sketchbooks - A4 copier paper folded in eights, stapled, and the edges cut. All I need to find are the staples. And the stapler. Or, you know, give them loose sheets, but I know from experience that tiny sketch books last longer than the same number of loose sheets.

I'm the same, I carry paper, drawing books & crayons at all times in my handbag. I always also make up handbags for Kate & Holls when we go out with drawing things, snacks, water bottle & a small doll etc.
