... you find yourself sitting in the children's bedroom feeding the toddler and working out that the only place in the house to hide the children is in the chimney above the boarded-up fireplace, and that you'd have to gag them to keep them safe up there because the adults couldn't possibly fit.

I really need to work on finding those romances.

I would avoid everything to do with Nazi Germany when it comes to light reading.

(With the possible exception of 'Springtime for Hitler' but that's not reading...)
