Five and a half years later

A letter from the hospital still makes me feel sick as soon as I see the logo on the paper.

Still, I have my referral to a physiotherapist, so I can phone up and make an appointment now.

Trauma will do that, unfortunately.

I used to go to school in Oxford; it wasn't a remotely pleasant experience. I left there in 1985. Two years ago, I went back for a walk with friends, and it was the first time I'd been able to arrive in the city without feeling (and sometimes actually being) physically sick since sometime in the late 70s...
