Because nailvarnish remover it can has a flavur.

Yes, my daughter tried to drink acetone. She's fine, it's too disgusting to swallow, but it was terribly, terribly exciting while it lasted, which was from immediately sfter I'd started cooking the egg noodles for lunch until about 20 minutes later when we worked out that she hadn't swallowed anything like a toxic dose. Thank goodness for that database, whatever it is, and for NHS Direct.

Wow! This post took me back about 20 years! Edmund drank acetone when he was a little younger than Linnea. He actually swallowed it, and was taken to hospital for 'observation', although I can't remember what, if any, treatment he was given.
Jonathan had left the bottle on the kitchen counter and Edmund climbed up, opened the bottle and took a big swig, because he thought "it looked the nice cough medicine" he had had a little while before!
I seem to remember being quite laid back about it - well, he is my fifth and I guess one gets just a little blase about their ability to survive such disasters - although I think I did threaten to report Jonathan if he didn't learn to PUT THINGS AWAY out of reach of the children!
