Groo. Argh. Ow. Ick. Nyrgh.
Apr. 16th, 2008 11:15 amAnd other incoherent morning noises.
Yesterday I was a tower of strength and productivity. Today I am, as Ms Bracken so succinctly put it, just about up to twirling my cowlick. But it's a friend's birthday and the only day her child is not at nursery so we're off to let her child play with Linnea and have a birthday lunch. Assuming I can persuade Linnea that leaving the house isn't actually torture.
Toilet learning is going backwards again; she wet the bed two nights running and missed the loo several times today before asking for a nappy. So she's in a nappy. I don't understand what's going on; I think she's just too tired.
We really need to do some trike maintenance. It's fine for cycling in the dry or the sun but I'd prefer it to be better for rain and dark. Emer and Linnea have been asking to have the roof off a lot lately and waving at passers by, most of whom don't notice.
My new bra arrived; 30F; band size perfect, cups definitely considerably too small. Huh. So I'm returning those, and some shoes from Jellyegg which also don't fit. I find the shoes confusing, since the sizes one orders are not the sizes printed on the actual shoe, so I corrected myself incorrectly. We shall try again. Bravissimo were great about talking me through the fit over the phone and have a freepost address to send returns to. I'm impressed.
Most of my trousers are too big so I'm back in, um, GAP size 6A, whatever that means, but I don't much like the cut, because they're too big at the back of the waist and slightly too snug for comfort at the front. Unless I slouch. I could just slouch. I don't like wearing GAP but it's better than buying new. Any advertising on the trousers themselves is at least discreet.
The future is insanely busy. I wonder where all my free time went? Even when I have no scheduled activities I have no free time. Even now, I'm waiting for a phone call so I have to hang around where I can hear the phone; both girls are ready to leave as soon as we get given a time and destination.
Oh, moan whinge crank grr. This is probably because of looking at the clock at about 1:15, 1:45, 3:35 and 5:30, as well as 6:xx and 7:xx today. All hail the great coffee-making Rob.

Date: 2008-04-16 12:05 pm (UTC)You just described my life in one succinct phrase. And no, I have no idea how it happens either!

I expect that means you bought the bra from them?

Date: 2008-04-16 03:33 pm (UTC)Interestingly I used to be a Tall ALL THE TIME but for the past three years I've found that sometimes the talls are too long! WTF? I am still 5'10" with very long legs and short torso.
