Another frequent request

ailbheOnce upon a time there was a little girl called Linnea who had two friends called Charlie and Lola. One day, Charlie and Lola came to visit Linnea and her little sister, Emer, in their hot air balloon. They sailed through the sky and bumped against the roof by the skylight. Then they tied the hot air balloon to a chimneypot, so it couldn't blow away, and climbed into the attic.
Linnea and Emer were sitting on the sofa in the attic looking at piles of baby clothes and baby books and Christmas decorations, so when Charlie and Lola tumbled through the skylight, they were right there! "Hi!" shouted Linnea. "Hi!" shouted Emer. "Hi hi hi hi hi!" She was so excited!
Linnea and Emer looked out the window at the balloon. It was huge - bigger than the house! - and round and stripy. Some of the stripes were red, and some were yellow, and some had patterns on, and some were plain. Under the balloon was a little basket for Charlie and Lola to ride in.
"Let's go on an adventure," said Linnea. Charlie and Lola and Emer all thought that was a fabulous idea, so they all climbed out the window and into the balloon's basket.
"Untie the rope!" shouted Lola. Charlie undid the knot and the balloon floated up and up and up!
They floated to the city, where they were up high near the tops of all the tall buildings. "Where is this?" asked Linnea. "This is London!" shouted Charlie and Lola together, very loud.
They floated through the sky over the river until they reached a really tall building. "That's where we live!" shouted Lola. Charlie and Lola live in a building with lots and lots of homes in. Soon they floated past a smaller building. "That's where Jos and Kim live!" shouted Linnea.
Soon it started to get dark, and cold. They floated over the zoo, and saw all the animals going inside for the night. Beside the zoo there was a lovely big park, and Charlie said "We can land here and go home for hot chocolate." Linnea and Emer thought that was a wonderful idea. "But Charlie," said Lola, "what about the lake?"
Linnea and Emer and Lola were all worried that the balloon would land in the lake. But it didn't - it landed in a tree! and got stuck! "I knew we wouldn't land in the lake, Lola," said Charlie. Lola said, "But how are we going to get down, Charlie?"
Linnea found the rope they had used to tie the balloon to the chimneypot. "We can use this," she said. So they all climbed down the rope, one at a time. First Linnea went down, and then Emer, and then Lola, and then Charlie. They ran away from the trees and found a path and walked home to Charlie and Lola's house, and got there just as the moon came out.
"It's bedtime!" said Linnea. "Chocolate!" said Emer. So they all had a big cup of hot chocolate and went to bed.
