At least, so I conclude from two incidents on the walk home today:

One man came up behind us and walked through our clasped hands, knocking Linnea over, and swore almost under his breath at her for getting in his way.

Another man swore quite audibly at her for being on the footpath where he was trying to get home in a hurry. On his bike.

Grr.

People can be so selfish, rude and thoughtless.

I'm beginning to think that most people are buttheads until proven otherwise.

Give Linnea a hug from Grandma Gloria.

Meep! That's awful. I worry about tripping over and treading on small children, and if I do think I've accidentally done it I always stop and check the child is okay and apologise.

Fneh at the rudeness of some people!

As a short person, I've had this happen to me in adulthood. I nearly got pushed off the platform at Cambridge station in rush hour. People looked over my head, saw a space and walked into it - and me.

But failing to apologise when walking into a small child is inexcusable. Some people are gits.

That's horrendous! Poor Linnea!

Presumably, neither of the rude bollices in question had ever been children.

:::stabbity stab:::

I think it might have been World Bad Temper Day yesterday: I saw several guys clearly mouthing 'fuck' whilst scowling, out in public.

And of course Linnea is real.

Ah, yes, invisible children.
When daughter was about 5, nasty manager of local, busy supermarket strode around the checkout, to be rude to the woman on the till, knocking daughter almost off her feet. He looked a bit annoyed, so I accosted him, complaining. He apologised to me. 'But it was my daughter you bumped in to' said I, (loudly) ' You ought to apologise to HER' Well, in the circumstances, he HAD to. He almost burst with venom. hehehehehe
Vindictive, moi? Of course I am!

An awful lot of childfree people (and even some parents) seem to think that way. Drives me insane.
