Rob is fabulous
Jan. 6th, 2008 02:40 pmThis morning, not only is the house not trashed after I cleaned it yesterday (which represents special effort on his part) but he also did several bits of DIY that have been waiting - moved the telly out of the children's reach, knocked down the wall outside so that I can move the trike off the street without hurting myself, and, recently, sorted some rubbish in the back garden so we're one step closer to being able to use it for recreation again. Now he's taking both girls to the supermarket for a list of about five items; I'm not at all sure he's ever taken them *both* since Emer started walking, so it may be an exciting experience for him. They need to get out of the house but can't go anywhere they'd mix with people, so sitting in a trolley is about their limit at present. (For those interested, the runny eyes are not getting any worse, so we're on top of things, and I think we've avoided actual conjunctivitis, which is a blessing).
And the patch of lawn under the washing line which went bald while I was ill (from standing on one bit of wet grass to hang laundry) is beginning to recover, too.
