Agh! Health or happiness?!

Linnea is coming down with something. She's winking and blinking a lot, squinting, rubbing her eyes, looking exhausted in spite of a full night's sleep, and whingy-moany.

BUT she desperately wants to go to London for a grown-up party. She didn't want to get dressed for the 4-year-old's party, and isn't dressed yet, but she might yet dress for the London one.

She also thinks she's staying the night there, which she isn't.

Help!

I hated saying it myself, but it's one of those icky things that comes with the job.

Yeah. I get visited by so many sick kids that I wonder sometimes whether I'm too careful, but I clearly remember the cold I got while pregnant (though that was from an adult) and the chest infection we were all brought (by a four-year-old) while I had post-viral fatigue, so I do always end up keeping them home...

It's so sad!

Also, we ALWAYS miss these parties, and they are GREAT parties, and we'd have a GREAT time there, and they LOVE Linnea, and it's so SAD.

On the other other hand, I am getting a lot of housework done... And the 4-year-old's mother sent Rob and Emer home with a party gift for Linnea as well, and some cake, so that's exceedingly sweet.

I feel bad about you guys not being able to come but I appreciate your thoughtfulness in keeping the bugs away. It's a shame I can't post you some of the muffins and cake I made.
