Last night was awful. But it's over now. The downside to an awful night is that the children watch telly while I come to. But we'll get there; everyone is dressed, Linnea had a smoothie for breakfast (must buy more imported out of season fruit and veg to get some variety into her, since she seems totally uninterested in other breakfasts), I've tidied the bathroom, cleared the kitchen surfaces, washed the dishwasher filter, and put on a teeny weeny load of laundry - the children got new red dresses for Christmas and I want them clean for taking to Ireland, so I'm washing a little red load. I could wait for a full one but I'm wearing red trousers and an orange top today so I'd have to wait until the trousers were dirty.

Still, a little now and then makes a difference to the house, so I'm fairly cheerful. I'm looking forward to going grocery shopping, too, since Linnea and Emer are in better form today.

Those of you who recently popped up and commented, hitherto unheard of - who are you all? That is to say, who are you both?

I'm using smoothies as nutrition for Kate too. I bit the bullet & bought some innocent ones from Asda as they are reduced, but will be making our own too.

D'you mean me? I think I introduced myself when I friended you way back, but I mostly lurk and hardly ever comment, so...

I live in Oxford & am the mum of almost-3-year-old Charlie. I first ran into you on one of the breastfeeding communities (I still breastfeed). I teach part-time and last term I taught a course at Reading - my first visit there.

Anyway, hi! I like your journal because you are a feminist eco-friendly poetry-writing mum. With cute kids, of course.

Bit of a long-time lurker, really - I don't remember how or when I found your journal tbh :S Following on from the comment before, I live in Hampshire and am the mum of 2.5 year old Rebecca and 4 week old Sophie. I read your LJ because I admire your parenting style & wish I could be more like you. I love your passion for breastfeeding & wish there was support down my end of the country, maybe then I wouldn't have failed miserably at it. Twice.

Oh! I know why I found your LJ! Open University community, a long time ago - although I never commented or joined the community, I was looking for information before I signed up for courses. And then took years to do so. I'm not very organised and a bit scatty ;)

Am I one of those people?

If so, I'm Sarah, 24, finished university this year and moved back to Berks (though only until the end of Feb, when I'm off again). I was reading your journal because I'm usually interested in what you have to say in [livejournal.com profile] theladiesloos, and because I like reading about the parenting stuff, having recently come to the conclusion that perhaps I do want kids one day after all. I am now trying to figure out if I can handle all the poo.
