During our exciting excursions we mislaid Linnea's Maisy Mouse toy. It was about 6-8 inches high, wearing a red top and green stripy trousers. All the ones we can find online are wearing green stripy dungarees.
It's hard to tell how important its loss is, because she might have decided not to tell us about it yet. She asked for her while camping and we couldn't find her, but I don't know...

Date: 2007-08-30 10:20 pm (UTC)No experience of anything similar (Colin has never been really attached to any particular soft toy), but I do remember the daughter of a friend losing her beloved cat while staying with us, some years ago. To her mother's surprise, she took in her stride going to the toy shop and buying a new and quite different cat, and apparently transferred the attachment wholesale to the new toy. Maybe toys do transmigration of souls and small children sense it...

Date: 2007-08-31 07:25 am (UTC)My 2 have never had a favourite, can't live without toy, apart from lasting for a few days. They both currently love their ponies they bought from Home Bargains with money from Grandma & Popa, but I know the novelty will wear off soon.
They both loved playing with Linnea & Kate is now excited about going to the con next year as I told her that she can see Linnea again :)
