Each package will carry a label of who delivered it. Whenever you order anything, in the comments or instructions box many online places offer, put 'Do NOT leave on doorstep' I once had 2 HUGE boxes of disposable nappies I'd ordered left outside. And a computer case with power supply. And a 36 inch bladed sword. They stopped leaving things after THAT complaint! Citylink here were terrible for pretending they'd been and left a card, when they'd not been near the estate, but we have a lovely tiny little lady on the round now, who laughs at me, and apologises for waking me up when I stumble to the door in my pjs, unable to see properly without my -0^0- on. (oops, witter, witter)
