Brief summary of mine
Jul. 12th, 2007 07:38 pmEmer drinks from a sippy cup, waves bye-bye, said "Nea". Day by day she's growing up.
Linnea has almost given up toilet training so we have resorted to bribery.
We have a wedding in London to go to in August so I shall need new clothes and probably new shoes. Something smart - perhaps a fairly straight long skirt and a blouse? I can't make it dressy with the shoes, I shall have to make the shoes dressy with the outfit, because of my funny feet.
Opening a smile account was easy enough; if it works for my personal banking we'll move the household stuff over, but I think a test account is in order.
We have dentist appointments, a meter-reading appointment so we can reduce our regular gas and electricity payments, and all our cats have had their annual checkups and shots. Better late than never on that one, but hey.
My cookies really work. Cream 4 oz sugar and 4 oz hard margarine, then add 4 oz peanut butter, 0.5 tsp vanilla essence, and an egg, and mix like mad. Then 4 oz oatflakes, 5 oz wholemeal flour, and 1 tsp baking powder. Finally, add 2-4 oz raisins and/or 2-4 oz dark chocolate chips. I'm the only one who really liked them with the choc chips so now I leave them out. Bake at gas mark 4 for 15 minutes, cool on the tray for 15 minutes, move to a rack to finish cooling. I measure a rounded teaspoon of cookie mix and squish it into a cookie shape. I don't think rolling and cutting would work.
I am getting a ferocious amount of laundry done.
