Stripped my bed so my mattress can dry; put wee-wet bedding in the washing machine; cleaned mucus-sick off the kitchen floor; cleaned poo off Linnea's carpet; retrieved Linnea's upstairs potty and put it in the correct place.

I'm also making yeast bread. It's a very biological day.

I found a slug on the bedroom carpet this morning (no, I have no idea how it got there, which is worrying - on a shoe?) and made myself throw it out the window. Woke up Tony with the inadvertant squawks of disgust.

On Sunday I trod on a very dead mouse that the cats had left for me, and for the first time since getting pregnant, was able to clear up a dead thing. Probably because Charles was trying to get to the same place.

Sounds a fair summary of life with small children. My personal sticking point (possible inadvertent bad turn of phrase there...) is other people's children's snotty noses... particularly when they start licking them... euw.
