Over to the dark side
Apr. 10th, 2007 10:22 pmI've started wanting Marmite. Not craving it, not even liking it very much, but feeling peckish specifically for Marmite and then eating, say, eight cream crackers, or four slices of toast, with butter-substitute and increasingly fatter thin spreadings of it.
I have no idea how I will ever justify feeding it to my children, if I do - it's almost totally salt, plus, it's yukky. But I want more.
Also, Rob and I have been together eight years today. Clever us.

Date: 2007-04-11 08:42 am (UTC)There are two reasons I can think of for feeding Marmite to kids:
- To scare them off – Marmite is a gateway drug to, er, more Marmite.
- Because You’re Evil.
I think the latter is rather more credible.Oh yes, congratumathingy.

Date: 2007-04-12 06:53 pm (UTC)Marmite is good stuff. Too much is bad, but it's salt (necessary, unlike refined sugar) and B vitamins (which it's a good source of). Which I think someone already said, but I back them up on this.
Even whipped cream is good for some things - vitamins A and D. Marmite is positively virtuous by comparison. Why not?
