One load of laundry taken in off the line, one rinsed and hung out, and one sorted and washed (and left to fester; see also, rinsing loads before hanging them out). Some sorting of kitchen and pantry. One birthday invitation posted. Membership renewed for Education Otherwise and the NCT. More eco-friendly disposable nappies ordered - and received, that was quick - and I phoned the hall hire people to see about paying for the birthday party venue. I also sorted out some pieces of writing for the local newsletter, if it ever gets dealt with.

Oh, and kept two children fed and entertained all day. Linnea still resists drinking, but did pour a bottle of water all over the pushchair; luckily it was sunny enough to leave it outside the front door to dry.

would you recommend washable nappies as a *cheaper* alternative to disposables?

For sure. See also http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1128506182,71306,

I must do that spreadsheet I've been saving receipts for, on how much Charles actually costs in money terms.

That reminds me, would you like my remaining nature baby stuffable nappies? Jack's out of them now so they may as well go to a good home!
