I really hope the penicillin starts to work on my throat soon. I think I could bear the rest of it better if I could swallow.

Last time I was that bad, I couldn't swallow water at all . . . I could get some to trickle down, I'd gag a little, dribble a little. But jelly worked. I could swallow that. It didn't feel great, but it went down. I ate a couple of liters a day of the stuff. And it counts as liquids.

Yup, my mother has been making me jelly. I *can* technically swallow, painfully, intermittently - just as well, since I have to take two pills four times a day for the throat infection - but it's no joke.

Need to send Rob out for more jelly, actually.

Ewww. That sounds *exactly* like the throat infection that baronscartop had a couple of years ago, right around when I met him. He went through two sorts of antibiotics, and it finally (sort of) went away, only to reappear a month later. Then I got it. Then he got it again... Hope you have better luck!!!

Can you take asprin? If so, gargling with disprin works really well, tho it is disgusting (I could only do it if it was mixed with ribena)
