Emer is thirteen weeks today, three months tomorrow. Today she rolled over for the first time, front to back, twice. First time she fell off her cushion. Second time I knew better than to leave her on a raised surface ever again, so that's ok.

Linnea did the kind of poo that explodes up the back and sticks everywhere. And Rob knocked on the door as I was cleaning it up and she ran to answer. However, I am full of the might that comes with righteousness and there is no poo anywhere there oughtn't be except on her vest which can go in the laundry.

No-one came to the NCT Coffee Afternoon, which is fine.

Organic farm-raised cod isn't worth the money. I'll stick to mackerel in future.

I need some kind of wishlist thing so I can keep track of ideas for Christmas presents for the kids.

I read a Jenny Crusie (need to find more; need to find a bibliography) and part of a breastfeeding book which made me angry.

Emer's napping longer and longer and mainly upstairs in our room, not downstairs as before.

I went into the attic and tidied loads of stuff up, then sorted out Linnea's bedding. We have more space and more organisation.

I am knackered and tomorrow is Tigglers Togglers and I hope also to go to town and do things in the post office.

Wishlist thing: Check out The Things I Want. It's free, it lets you make as many different sorts of lists as you like, you can decide who gets to see them - and there's a handy browser button that allows you to add items to your list by navigating to a Web site that sells them and clicking the button. You can also enter items manually.

so i am cruising jenny crusie's website (he he he i am so clever), having heard her recommended before, but not having sampled any of her books, and in her biography i find this gem:

her master's thesis was titled “A Spirit More Capable of Looking Up To Him: Women's Roles in Mystery Fiction 1841-1920.”

i definitely want to read that.
