The HV came today and I am, unsurprisingly, depressed. So I pootle off for drugs on Monday. I must also remember to mention the SPD. And later on Monday is Emer's vaccination appointment. I can't remember what the vaccines are now. Gods I hate being depressed, it makes me so stupid. At least, since I don't know what they are or anything about them, I do know that she's going to be 11 weeks old getting them, not only 8.

Other than that, I've been refilling my Filofax, including scribbled notepaper as an end-of-2006 diary, and I will make my various lists in it shortly (I keep lists on yellow paper in This Week, for medical appointments, library books, and ongoing shopping lists).

My Health Visitor made my appointments for me, because my phone phobia is back. I really do have excellent support.

And maybe soon I'll stop thinking everyone is going to die.

(I still need to write about the weekend - market, bookshop, friend, dinner, P&P, swimming, mighty massive shopping, and all).

My phone phobia has been pretty severe lately. I hate it. So I'm glad you are getting that kind of support from your HV -- it's very helpful I think.

I'm glad you're getting something for the depression. It's hard :(

Your HV rocks!

I totally understand phone-phobia, mine is getting worse and that's WITH using typetalk - or maybe BECAUSE I have to use typetalk *shudder*...

http://www.immunisation.nhs.uk/article.php?id=97 has the full schedule.

2 month vaccination is the 5-in-1 against Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib)

I had my first health visitor visit today which is how I remember this. Apparently my surgery do everything at 8 weeks: my checkup, baby's checkup, and his first jab. I got the impression they will chase me for the jabs, but we shall see.

I got an automated mailshot every few weeks when we failed to show for L's (there was no appointment system, so we couldn't cancel any appointments). I just binned them unopened. I delayed, but had discussed it with my GP who understood my reasons and was, frankly, pleased I was doing it at all I suspect. This is the same one who sat me down and said I would need three midwives if I was having twins at home. I was too busy issuing formal complaints to HVs about pushing solids early (12 weeks in one case) to give them time to notice the lack of immunisations.

Sorry about the depression, life's hard enough with young children without extra pressure.

Can, in all honesty, say I know the feeling when it comes to depression.

Am glad you are getting help for it, and am also glad (and not at all surprised) that you have a stunningly good support network.

You rock, y'know?

Oh, another phone phobic! I am, and I'm not even depressed ...

Did the HV also suggest ways of changing Rob's current situation?
