Accomplished!

I sorted a load of laundry and put it in the machine, and I collected the dry laundry off the line, and I rehung the stuff that was in the shade so that it could dry too. Linnea did about 45 minutes of gluing, so I cleaned up after that. We had our snack. Um. I also emptied the dishwasher, but I can't bend enough to fill it with Emer in the sling. Emer is always always in the sling during the day; she's happiest here. I do need a more comfortable sling though.

I also phoned the doctor's office to make appointments but apparently we've forgotten to hand over and/or lost a piece of paperwork so Emer isn't registered with them yet and I can't make my postnatal appointment until she is registered even though I need to see a specific doctor and she doesn't. Bah. We'll have to look for the paperwork tonight when Linnea is in bed.

Rob has been reminded to make his own appointment. I also called the dentist but the line was busy.

Linnea has watched a lot of telly today. We're going to have lunch and go to the library later. My reserved books are in.

I don't like Kushies all in one nappies. I didn't like the style when we were using Boots ones with Linnea - we had one medium and one extra large and neither was much good - and I don't like it with Emer either. I'll wash them and give them to someone else, I suppose, but I've yet to meet anyone who does like them, as far as I'm aware. The woman who gave them to me gave up on cloth nappies because they were the only kind she tried.

Maybe I can call Fiona now.

I've got a Boots AIO (in a medium I think) & it was fine, but not one of my favourites to use. I just bought it to try as they sell them in the local one in town & all the others I've bought online & have had to wait for them to be delivered. I tried some Kushies not-AIOs & I did like them, but Holls has outgrown them now.

I have one motherease AIO - from the local authority nappy pack - and I like it. But not enough to buy a full set - Terries really do seem to work for us. And I think I'm going to go for Tots Bots for nursery, cause they are scottish and easy to use.

I only have one motherease nappy, and it's pretty flimsy; I do know that Linnea is a very, very heavy wetter though, so that has affected my view of nappies that work perfectly well for other people.

We switched to Motherease AIO from disposables b/c this is the nappy that works best for our extremely wriggly baby. Works ok for Ruth's wetting patterns - Fuzzy Bunz and Sandy's kept leaking :(

Oh, we use the Nature Babies wraps - the diddy diapers are much, much diddier than Linnea's bladder ever was, though, so we gave up on those early on - and we never found anything that worked overnight. Ever. My preferred nappy for a weaned baby is the Nature Babies stuffable. I think I still prefer Bummis wraps for a totally breastfed baby though. And a nice foldable nappy is good to catch explosions, too.

There was a time when a diddy diaper wouldn't even hold one Linnea-wee in the daytime. Really.

We use prefolds - cotton bottoms, bambino mio - because the folding is very simple. And the biggest thing about real poo is the flushable paper liner. Some brands are way too heavy to be truly flushable, but the flimsy ones are great, and you can wash and reuse them if they're just weed on - some of them seem to last 3 or 4 uses at least. Not bad for a disposable product.
