If you *already* wear properly fitted women's hiking boots, they will stop your feet spreading as much anyway. That's one reason I wore my hiking sandals througout pregnancy - they support the ball and heel of the foot and stop them sliding around, which helps prevent skeletal spread. If I'd worn them with Linnea I might not have had to ditch so many shoes.
