Jack appears to have explained why he hit L last week. He's spent a week saying, fairly sadly "I hit Newa in a park". Two days ago he said, equally sadly, "Newa hit Jack knuckles a stick". So I think some excited stick-waving may have occurred. I'm reinforcing that it's not okay to hit anyone, even if they hit you first, and it was most likely an accident and if anyone hits him again, to tell a grown-up!
He's still talking about last Monday, and every time we mention or go to a park he wants to know if Newa will be there.
