Get up, sit with head over bowl of steam and peppermint oil, blow nose six thousand times, eat breakfast, blow nose seven thousand times, take brand new packet of tissues for day's outing.

08:40 approx, leave the house for Reading West Station. Go to Reading, go through the barriers to the cash machines, go back, buy tea and evil Oasis fruit juice drink which turns out to be owned by Coke, board train to Richmond.

On train, singing: Monkey song, butterfly song, lion song, elephant song, seesaw marjy daw, some others. Also drawing (cats), and looking out the window (houses, sheep, trees, cars, diggers, trains, daisies, clouds, sky).

Arrive Richmond, through barriers to loos, return and board tube.

Arrive Kew Gardens station, buy more tissues in Tescos because packet I had two hours ago is now empty, buy bread, walk to Kew Gardens with bread, enter Victoria Entrance at 10:45, go to the loo again, walk to Main Entrance, see D&J and assume they're them, see L and know they're them at 11:05, go find the Secluded Garden.

Roses have recently been pruned in the garden, so give each toddler a pink rose cecily, find Duke's Garden with pond, wash roses, wash toddlers, remove Linnea's cardigan and hang it on the buggy to dry.

Find baby axolotls in Princess Diana building. Also find proper aquarium bit with water dragon, crabs, frogs, and really big fish.

Picnic!

Walking and wandering. Toilet seeking mission. Cake seeking mission successful including dance of victory when nice chap finds ingredients list for chocolate brownies and says I can eat them. Hurrah!

More running around, then home again home again.

Dinner on, bathtime for Linnea, feed her dinner, gallop her into bed.

Rob is reusing her bathwater.

I'm listening to I'm sorry I haven't a clue from http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/progs/listenagain.shtml#i because I was tipped off that there's a version of Killing me softly sung to the tune of Bare Necessities. Oh my word. Go now and listen. It's amazing. The answer is blowing in the wind to the tune of Day trip to Bangor is pretty good too.

I love Kew, though just been once. I can't even recall if it was with or before Kate. I use dto keep axolotls, how cool :) The big fish tanks are rather spectacular, I must take Kate & Holls, they would love them :) It's a pity Granny Jean doesn't have room for us to stay or we could go down for a couple of days. I know I'd find it too much to do it all in one day from here on the train atm.

Andy does drive, but I'm always on the look out for good train deals frp holidays etc when I have Kate all day. It's a a pain having her at nursery 1 - 3.30 as it cuts into our day when I plan things as we use public transport. It would prob have been better for her to do mornings, so then I could have picked her up & we'd go somewhere for the rest of the day (local-ish obviously!)

I've put Holls name down all ready (mad!, but that's the way of the world) & asked for a morning place.

Andy's mum & brother live in St Albans, which is 20 mins away from Kings Cross by train. His brother has a 3 bed house which we stayed in once, but never again. I couldn't even bear to sit down on the sofa as the place was so filthy.

It was lovely to see you both, and Jack had a fab time - just about the first thing he said when he woke up from his nap was "where Nehwa?" so she made an impression!

When you finally got away I saw the time and it was well after you'd intended being on the train so I hoped you got a train okay. Looks like you did. I also did my momentary lack-of-confidence thing and decided that you probably did have a good time, because otherwise you'd have walked a lot faster and got out of Kew for the 3.30 train...

We appear to have some good shots from different angles and will put them up when we can.

It's very bizarre, I can't work out why he's like that. He works in the City, earns mega bucks, is very particular about designer labels, but lives in a pit.
