I have mildly sunburnt shoulders, Linnea's lost her sunglasses, unaccustomed exercise may cause perineal strain, it's time to buy sunscreen and stock up on bottled water, toddlers will be beautifully behaved until the moment of entering the supermarket and then yell "CA CA CA" cheerfully and incessantly even when you cover their mouths with your hands, calling NHS Direct to say that you think you've sprained your daughter's arm creates interesting silences on the other end, paperwork was born to die, and I hope all of you remember to vote whenever you can.

Were you saying you kill plants? Have you any aloe vera? It's marvellous for burns of all kinds, and no matter what I do with the stuff I cannot kill it. I've got three pots sitting on the kitchen window sill and I keep forgetting to water them and they do not die. When I remember to water them every day they just get fat. Would you like one?
