Oh what a night
Apr. 13th, 2006 11:45 amLinnea got overtired and stressed, so ended up screaming herself to sleep in Rob's arms at about 23:30. We are now determined to set a rigid bedtime routine and stick to it, so that our behaviour doesn't mess up her really very regular sleep patterns any more.
I spent yesterday wearing a big skirt, bought after Linnea was born, which fits again now as I get bigger and bigger. I shan't do that again. This morning the muscles which ache from bump support were agony, and the tadpole was hopping and lepping like someone at Phil the Fluther's Ball. From now on, I wear bump-support knickers (which will be handy if I need an emergency parachute, too) and bump-support trousers and skirts. Unless I can get a sacro-iliac support belt. I shall be asking my midwife, but meanwhile, anyone have suggestions for where I could order one within the UK? It took a long time and a huge amount of effort and external support before I could get out of bed this morning.
So now I'm crawling through the day, interrupted by Jehovah's Witnesses and mysterious chocolate delivery. I'm getting the morning housework done, but it's taking easily four times as long as it ought to.
This baby isn't as active as Linnea was, in general, but yesterday it did things Linnea never attempted. I think the lack of muscle support gives it more leeway than a baby its size ought to have.
Still, having to sit still first thing in the morning means I had time during brain-phase to sort out another search function for the afp Recipes Archive. It's a cobble but it's better than nothing.
