Overripe fruit
Mar. 17th, 2006 09:39 pmWe have one ice-cube-tray of pureed kiwi fruit and one of pureed mango now. The fruit was going just that bit too soft and we got a lot more fruit today. Linnea's not keen on kiwi really, and mango is hassle to prepare. It's much more fun in summer, when you can eat it outside.
So, what do you suggest we do with the frozen fruit cubes? we have sticks in some of them, in case they work as ice lollies. I considered putting some in porridge. Any other suggestions? I know professional smoothie makers blend icecubes but I fear our elderly second-hand blender would die a miserable and degrading (and probably explosive) death if we tried that, so if we were using them in smoothies we'd have to defrost them first, which would require Planning.
We can use them to cool drinks of orange juice, I suppose. But we don't drink that much neat organce juice because, well, let's not go into detail.
