The other day, I leaned over and kissed Linnea's temple during lunch. As soon as I sat back down, she stood up on the bar of her chair, leaned over, and rubbed noses with me.

Today, she gave me half of her toast and jam, and when I said thank you, she grinned and nodded. So I said "Oh I do love you. I love you."

And she grinned again, and said, through a mouthful of toast, "I love you."

Linnea said to me, "I love you."

How very cool. Linnea is learning one of the most important sorts of human communication: The give and take of love.

Awwww.

Grace doesn't say that yet. But she says, "I want to find Mama!" when I'm not in sight... and lights up with happy giggles when I appear.

ah! *melts* She is way ahead of my boys, but N now says "wuv you" at 2.5. TT first said it to his dad, I was a little jealous - one morning he came into our bed, snuggled in and said "I just love you dad". But now he tells *me* about 3 times a day.

Hooray!

And, since in my off-line, in-bookstore time I seem to have missed some News, hooray! for your being pregnant again, worries and all. You're a lovely woman and a lovely mother.

Snap! On the same day (yesterday for me, but it wouldn't post yesterday) Oliver said "I yove you" for the first time (aww, melt)/

Yes, he is still 13 months older than Linnea.

Aren't those the sweetest words to hear your child say? You never get tired of it either.
