My mother arrived just before seven this morning after a fourteen-hour bus-and-ferry trip which she found very straightforward. She had a nap and then was fine, though she went to bed early.

The children are delighted to see her and boss her around as much as they can get away with, which I predict will be less and less as time goes on.

I got the house a little tidier again while she was napping this morning.

Laundry is. (Also, the Red Mars series is reminding me strongly of Jean M. Auel).
