A few people have added me to their "friends" list recently. Hi! I'd be interested to know what brought you here (I'm always interested in that) and if any of you are interested in my take on the "Baby Journal", the one I write for my daughter Linnea is at [livejournal.com profile] lnc. I'd like to know what you think of that, too, if you are a poems sort of person.

I've seen you around the LJ world for a long time, and have been enjoying your commentary lately. You seem nifty. :)

In my case it's because I've seen you around the AFP community, which I've recently joined.

Hi! I can't remember whether I came across you via your comments in the journals of friends we have in common (why did LJ have to appropriate the term "mutual friend" so confusingly?!) and then recognised you when I saw you on ukmidwifery, or the other way round. I enjoy reading your entries so I friended you; I didn't announce myself because I didn't want to seem to be asking to be friended back. (I mean, I'd be very happy to be friended of course, but I'm a slowly-developing-friendship person myself and don't expect it.)

I (almost) only read at LJ (life is too short), but in very brief - oh gosh, how to describe oneself in a sentence? - I'm an academic in Edinburgh, into attachment parenting and most of what usually goes with it; my son Colin was born Oct 03 (planned homebirth, transferred for last few minutes because of 8.5hr second stage, long story in more ways than one). Um, what else? I play recorders, and have a partially written crime novel which I really will finish one day, and often know just how Spock felt. However, I'm really not a computer program in disguise - [livejournal.com profile] buzzy_bee has met me IRL, anyway!

In addition, [livejournal.com profile] sidheag and I appear to be twins separated at birth and so do our sons (they even managed to have pretty similar birth stories as well as birth dates!).

I found you a couple of weeks ago, and I'm racking my brain trying to figure out exactly where/how I came across you...I was probably doing an interest search or something. It seems like we had a lot in common, like hardcore attachment parenting, child-led weaning, polyamory, liking Terry Pratchett, PTSD, and so on. So I added you.

I'm Lili, by the way, and I live in Tipperary, Ireland, though I'm American-born. Thanks for the welcome, and I'd be honoured if you added me back. I haven't checked out the baby journal yet, but will do as soon as I have a moment.

I read your comments on some of my friends journals and then started
reading your LJ, it took me a few months to friend you though. You being from
Ireland gave another reason.

I also can't remember which friend I found your journal through, but your unusual name meant that I would remember to come by occasionally. I hope you don't mind if I friend you?

And I accidentally submitted before finishing! I was interested in seeing how your healing was going (glad to hear your good news!) and about your life as a new mother.
