Linnea slept a lot while we were at the in-laws' and has given up going to bed completely at home. Mind you, last night at the in-laws' she didn't go to sleep until after 1 am.

Waking at 7 am regime is beginning tomorrow if either Rob or I can crawl out of bed.

We spent four nights there, which should help when I go to see my mother for another fortnight or so soon (I want to make another long trip with Linnea, for a start - it's so much fun!) and Linnea impressed them greatly with her increased verbal abilities.

She can definitely identify colours now. We weren't quite sure, but now it's unmistakable - red, blue, yellow, pink, purple and green are quite certain, and orange is coming. She knows that numbers are numbers, and doesn't think that letters are. She counts, but gets the order of number-words wrong sometimes, which doesn't bother me but does seem to bother my father-in-law, who also shouts at her when she knocks the TV screen or does something similarly risky. She is getting on with her Farmor (father's mother) like a monkey in a banana plantation and is much less shy with strangers (Rob's aunt's partner) than she used to be.

She likes to sit in bed with us as we all three read. Last night she handed us issues of the church newsletter, opened one herself, and concentrated hard on it.

After we got home today, she lay on the sofa, covered herself in a blanket, said night night, and pretended to snore. A big loud rumbling snore. I have no idea where she learned that. Maybe she lies awake at night listening ot me.

We need to write to the solicitors and check voicemail. But I am so phone-phobic I can't do the latter. Perhaps I will be less so tomorrow. I've had to answer the phone twice already today and I ended up sweating both times.

There were kids lying around snoring on Razzle Dazzle today, if she saw that she might have picked it up from there.
Welcome home! :-)

Welcome home.

I am going to the post office today, now that I've found the parcel tape!

*Hugs* for the phone-phobia from another phone-phobic. I've actually decided to consciously do something about mine this year!

I love the pretending to snore - made me giggle!!
