Ladies, it is imperative that you stop peeing on the seats in public toilets. It does not make them or you cleaner.

Everyone, please stop smoking in non-smoking spaces, especially when my baby is around, because my lizard-brain wakes up like kraken and will come to get you.

Mongolian Barbecue is a great way to make sure I get dairy-free food.

Five-star hotels are fabulous, but why is "Corinthian" such a popular hotel name here (Malta)? There are TWO within 3 minutes' walk of this SAS Radisson.

We found a member of hotel staff who knows that the hotel have a child carseat for fitting to taxis - they always use the same firm - so I will not have to repeat the sickening journey with Linnea restrained only by a lap-belt. Good. I was trying to work out whether we could get public transport, and it would have meant spending the last night in a hostel in the capital city, probably, as doing it in time the morning we leave would have been almost impossible.

There is a Marks And Spencer's Cafe and Wine Shop in the lobby of a hotel in St Julian. This is very odd but a good source of dairy-free chocolate.

I too have been freaked out the once or twice I had to take Liam in a taxi with no carseat. But the friend in NYC I saw this past weekend assures me that parents there do it all the time.

As regards "Corinthian" - they're a local chain. The original one was set up as an extremely high class restaurant (This restaurant still exists as the Corinthian Ballroom in the Corinthian Palace Hotel) and then expanded to become a hotel - the Corinthian Palace is actually where [livejournal.com profile] supermouse and I went on our honeymoon - the other one was brought up later.

I'm glad you've found a car seat for Linnea. Hope you're enjoying your holiday.

Sorry, I just have to say: I got home just now after a long day, so my brain isn't quite functional.

I have a *really* strange image in my head after reading "SAS Radisson".
