Idle curiosity

Once again, I have no idea who is on my friends list, how they got there, or why they've friended me back. And as for the hundred or so who aren't on my friends list but who nonetheless have friended me, I have no idea who half of you are. So. I got curious and I haven't done a poll in ages. It would be funnier if I had a better sense of humour.

This is going to sound terrible but I can't remember whether I've met you or not. I know I've met Rob but I don't remember if I met you at a Discworld Convention although I'm sure we must have been at one at the same time - similarly I still don't know if I met Bopeepsheep at a Convention although we were at at least one simultaneously. However, even if we had met, I don't know that I'd say I knew you IRL unless I did actually know you. I mean, there are people I know through newsgroups who I've met IRL, but I don't know them all IRL. If you see what I mean.

Hmm. Have I had too much wine or do I need more?

I found you through alt.poly. I found that generally you were interesting, so when you mentioned that you had the LJ I added it to my friendslist.
