Life: We went to the in-laws for the weekend, where Linnea had a horrible vomiting bug and we spent a night and a day being thrown up on. I didn't feel too great either, and have spent a lot of today accidentally falling asleep where I sit, and having a continuation of the low-level stomach problems I had while Linnea was projecting. It's partially her bug, I thin, and partially that I was her only food source for over 36 hours.

She's better now, though in bed an hour early, and Rob and I are recovering. I missed my counselling appointment today due to being asleep though. Need to work out if that's going to cause a big problem.

Linnea can walk quite far, but she still doesn't seem to think much of it - it, like crawling, is just the most effective way to explore. She doesn't seem to walk for its own sake, though she does do it deliberately. She's so casual about it! She's nine and a half months tomorrow.

Valentines: I sent one, sort of, because some things are important and ought to be acknowledged, but Rob and Linnea just got told I think they're great. Rob even forgot he'd wished me a Happy Valentine's Day and did it twice. Still, at least we observed it - we are always in danger of forgetting.

Counselling shouldn't be a problem if you get in touch and let them know that you missed it because L was poorly.

I'm impressed with L, you know. YoungBloke still thinks that walking is such a cool game that he chuckles and giggles and grins with delight as he staggers around. What YB does do casually is pick things up and then throw them over his shoulder, like in films of mediaeval feasts!

They're all different and find excitement and enjoyment in different things. YB is so casual about dropping things (or chucking them over his shoulder) that I find it funny.

We've finally stopped playing Picking Things Up when they're dropped deliberately or swept off the tray. It was, however, a fab game for a while. Because at that point it was learning that things fall and disappear. Now it's his way of getting rid of stuff he's bored with.
