We got up on time for once - I half-woke Linnea for a feed at about midnight, so she didn't get the night fright she usually does, so she didn't have to sleep in our bed, so I could move my arms when I woke. This makes a huge difference to the day. So we all washed and dressed and had breakfast, and then we trooped off in the drizzle to the playground. Linnea spent a long time on the swings and a short while on the slide, and I spent a minute on the big-girl swings.

On the way home we passed a lot of people taking their kids to school. Perhaps we're neglecting our little monster; she didn't even have a raincover most of the time she was out in her buggy.

When we got home she went for her morning nap. It's a little too early for comfort since we started getting up at 6 instead of 7, but I suppose that can't be helped. At least it means I'm more likely to share it than I used to be.

I live in Southern California, where people bundle their kids up in snowsuits when the temperature hits 60 degrees F, and have them in pants and long shirts for anything less than about 75. I always feel vaguely neglectful for not dressing him heavier, and often end up putting a jacket on him more out of peer pressure than actual need.
