More about today
Nov. 30th, 2004 09:40 pmToday went well; the counsellor is mainly going to bridge the gap between now and seeing the psychologist at the hospital. She's given me some practical stuff; instead of missing bedtime at 10 pm because Rob's not ready to go up, stop what I'm doing online and take a bath until he is ready. That way I'll be relaxed by the time I get to bed, not extra wound up. And start again with the five good things, but make them about me; I've compromised on that, because good things are about Linnea as well.
Tomorrow I hope to be in town by 10:30 am, which will be a challenge, but there are some people I want to meet for coffee (only one of us actually drinks coffee, but who cares? No-one meets for tea or diet Coke).
Linnea is seven months old today. I haven't yet come up with a pome to mark the occasion. Today I turned into a Bad Mother again (one does this several times an hour, I find) because to keep her quiet in the pushchair while I went to the counsellor, I fed her a rice cake. Pacifying her with food! Still, at least it wasn't chocolate buttons.
Does the name Chris Brice mean anything to anyone?

Forgive me for delurking, but I do know a Chris Brice. He lives on my street (in Islington) and is a minister, I think for some nonconformist church. Can find out more if needed.
Will be holding thumbs for the operation and your physical and emotional recovery.
