On top of all this, I'm sick. Yesterday evening I lost the ability to stand upright, tried to grasp a saucepan which wasn't there although I could see it clearly, got into bed fully dressed and shivering, under a quilt and two wool blankets with a temperature of 102F (yes, I know that's not very high). My throat was and is very sore, intermittenlty feeling swollen. Paracetemol got my temp down to 101 after just over 12 hours, and last checked it was at 100.4 which is ok. Light hurts - yes, typing this is very painful, I'm doing it anyway because I'm going slightly mad - and my skin is very veyr sore. I'm also like a bear with a sore head, and starving hungry until food actually appears.

Until about 2 pm today I wanted to be in hospital, but since we couldn't contact a doctor and I couldn't think enough to explain to Rob how to get us out of the house and to the hospital, we didn't go. Now I think I might live after all, but I think this is unfair, as I'm now in all the normal baby pain AND something like flu and a migraine combined. Damn it.

If you haven't seen a doctor you should do and look for any odd lumps/blocked milk ducts. It could well be a random flu type virus but the symptoms are also those of mastitis which needs antibiotics asap. You can still feed Linnea with mastitis but some antibiotics tend to give the baby the runs a bit. At Linnea's age this is less likely to be a problem.
