We're making HUGE progress in the attic and now need to have lunch and then move furniture in our bedroom around. The spare room WILL be accessible for my mother's visit. The magnificent [personal profile] taimatsu came for help with child-wrangling and stuff-moving, and neighbours are taking a lot of the scrap wood (as far as I can tell, we have kept ALL the scrap wood from ALL our DIY over the last 8 years) for re-use or for wood-burning stoves, depending. The saved-for-later baby kit almost all fits under the eaves on one side of the attic, which is designated cupboard space anyway, and the other side will eventually contain only what it ought to, eg camping kit, Christmas and party decorations, old computer parts, and boxes of paperwork of sentimental value, which I suppose ideally we'd scan and destroy but actually we're going to keep for EVER, probably.

You too, eh? :)

Glad you're doing well with your attic. I need to find more spoons for tidying of this place. I think it'll be easier when it's not so hot and sunny outside.

I am so impressed. I vaguely thought we might have a serious go at sorting out Charles's room this weekend, but lacked any motivation in the end.
