Done:

• Ordered spare part for broken gas heater
• Called solicitor and made appointment to have a will drawn up; Friday 14:30
• Called utilities companies to get the gas and electricity supplied by the same company, which is cheaper and simpler.

To do:

• Assemble ID and lists for will-making appointment
• Call vet to make appointments for three cats to have full check up and booster shots, one at a time as we can't carry them all at once
• Find new flea collars for the cats

Other than that, it's bene housework as usual around here...

Unless your affairs are complex and you desire to avoid the taxman getting his hands on even a penny of your estate, it's probably not necessary to employ a solicitor to draw up your will. You can get a kit from WH Smith for about a fiver that tells you what you need to do.

I got the kit. It's not useful for us, since we want to be certain of what happens to our child if we die. For that to be firmly tied up, we need a solicitor.
