Not bad, not bad
Aug. 19th, 2009 02:11 pmEveryone got washed and dressed and ate some oat biscuits (like breakfast, but different), and I put the laundry out in the sun, and made the beds, and did all the usual plant-watering and whatnot, and shortly after 9am we left to go to Waitrose on the bus. The children were good about the walk from the bus-stop and quite well-behaved in the shop, too.
Linnea scanned everything with the barcode scanner, and we had a drink in the café, and got two buses home because the shopping was too heavy to carry as far as the 17 bus-route. On the way home we dropped into the Workhouse and got coffee and then dropped in to a neighbour for a chat. Now we're all here and hot, but I've got the laundry in and all but finished packing for tomorrow, and put another load of laundry on and the dishwasher and fed the children and all in all feeling fairly pleased about the day.
I got the strap sewn onto my denim bag last night, stabbing myself with the eye of the needle only once. I think I might want a thimble, or perhaps a leatherworker's palm.
