Sales calls
Sep. 25th, 2003 12:01 pmI just got a call from a company offering me a free something or other. It was the most satisfying telesales call I've ever taken. I asked them for the full name of the company and the phone number of their head office, and they got hopelessly confused. I just wish I could remember the name of the no-call list I'm on. The person who originally made the call obivously went away to ge ther supervisor, who attempted to start the spiel again, and when I repeated my request for the full company name and the phone number of their head office, they hung up midsentence. Beeeeep. I love it when I'm polite and they're rude. I feel so righteous.
On another note, our server is currently being physically moved using Muppet Muscle, so I have no access to mail or news.

Come to think of it, I'm not even sure we're in the phone book. We so rarely use our land line - don't even have an answering machine. Such is the depth of our reliance on mobiles!
