ailbhe: (wedding)
[personal profile] ailbhe

Catch up on LJ, email, etc for the week that was.

Manage some study; realise that I should take a break every couple of hours.

Have a go at arranging new seating plan as the will- and won't-come list has changed again. Realise that we need to seat 11 adults and one infant (in a high chair) at the top table. Groo. The table can take 10. Leave message for Town Hall caterers to see what we can do.

Go to ceramics class. Yay ceramics. Rolling coils was easier when I was 7.

Wonder why we can't seem to get the numbers even; some tables have ten people (original numbers planned for) and some have 6. Perhaps I can compromise on 8. Perhaps I can sit Swedes with people who don't speak Swedish; most of them speak reasonably good English.

Perhaps I can stop hoping that the people on both sides that I've heard being generally disparaging about the Irish and the Swedish will keep their mouths shut. At least none of the Irish contingent have been disparaging about the English, and of course the Swedes are never, as far as I can tell, disparaging about anyone. So it can't escalate too far.

All I need to do now is finish reading my material and write my essay. Then I am allowed to go back to planning the wedding.
