To-Do list fails to get shorter

1. Finish DIY
   1. Make doors with existing cladding and battens
   2. Buy more cladding to finish panelling the wall
   3. Buy some sort of coving to trim the edges
2. Finish tidying bedrooms: ours and spare
3. Laundry:
   1. Put away clean
   2. Launder dirty (I hung out three loads this morning; then the line was full)
   3. Take winter duvet to laundrette
4. Call town hall and
   1. Get florist details
   2. Arrange to view rooms with mother-in-law on 31st
   3. Set up meeting with caterer
5. Other wedding plans:
   1. Post Mum and sister's plane tickets
   2. Post wedding invitation
   3. Get details of train we need to take to start our honeymoon (from Rob) and buy tickets and reserve seats (from train people)
6. Do one hour of study before Saturday's tutorial
7. Find, buy or steal toothbrush. Teeth all furry. Yuck.
8. Wash dishes, dammit

Oh, that brings back bad memories! :-)

Our dishwasher is the cornerstone of our lives - it's impossible to overstate the difference it made. (That goes for me and niallm, not glitzfrau, who was brought up to view such bourgeois appurtenances with suspicion bordering on hatred...) When Niall and I lived in the flat, our minuscule kitchen would get buried in huge crusty piles of pans and crockery until one of us cracked. We hated doing it so much that it caused fights (because I ended up doing more than my fair share). Now we can just load up the dishwasher, set it running and walk away. Magic.
