Linnea's Story
Aug. 1st, 2009 08:04 pmLinnea made me take down the start of a story today; the middle will come tomorrow. I need to write this down so that Louis can read it when he's a grownup, at bedtime for the baby. I hope he finds it more comprehensible than I did.
She's blocking the rest out now, giving me a trailer, as it were. There's a superhero baby which was the smallest ever seen.
The story for the baby when I'm grown up and married Louis.
And it's got to end happily because it's a special story.
Now, muuum
It's about lazytown
Now, the starting of the story is when Sportacus thinks and remembers what it was like when he was only little. They started on to like him a lot, then they called him spoilsport, and then they called him Sportacus again. And they came to his birthday, now he was only four when he was the size of me. he was the size of a six years old when he was only FIVE. and the size of a five year old when he was zero. and guess what? there was another sort of town called Girlstown, where Stephanie's cousin came from, and it was me that was Stephanie's cousin, and Emer too, Stephanie had two cousins, right? Emer was Stephanie's new cousin. Now. In this story there was a hero in Girlstown called Zenni, but there wasn't any problems so she went to the countryside. Now those two towns were in the same place, the same country that's the country we're in. Now mum, Ziggi found her in the countryside, you know she had a dress, she was just a bit like Sportacus you see, it was a blue dress, Sportacus's airship roamed over the sea when he didn't need a problem, it was over the country when he had to rescue his friends but when he was over the sea and in his airship he was quite lonely. Know what it was like in his airship? They didn't know what it was like so they didn't come up. it's quite long, well, the thing was that the problem now soon Sportacus lived because there was quite lots of problems in Lazytown from Robbie Rotten he made the problems.
Robbie Rotten made the problems, right? So. And even better, the day after the day when they had a single baby boy it was even super so it had to - so on tis first ever birthday it had to eat Sportscandy at the start, right? So it didn't do a mashdown like Sportacus does, because if they - all superheroes aren't allowed sportscandy because they'll be a - if they do they'll do the mashdown. It's special, like this. In Lazytown they keep it nice and clean, and no dirt on the ground. They keep it clean as possible, sparkly, if they get a mess they always tidy it up again. Right? Now. And this is a mashdown [lies prone]. Now. Ziggi has - wants to be a superhero when he grows up, there's a special sort of young people to be superheroes when they're grown up, you see, only when they're grownups though, when the are grownup the should have that special thing, Ziggi likes to have sweets so he should stop when he's a grownup, he'll have to make his own airship. Sportacus is Lazytown's hero, right, so that he, right, he, and he has an airship, cause he doesn't have a cape!
Ziggi gas a pretend cape, right, but it - on his first ever birthday it will be too small for him and he will go ouch because it has to be tied around necks to get on and it will hurt his neck if it doesn't fit him, ouch he'll go, and they'll give him a new one, but none of the ones the have will fit him when he's a grownup, but it takes a very long time to get him to be a grownup. It takes him very very long.
We'll do the rest tomorrow.

Date: 2009-08-02 08:22 am (UTC)(learning an already-existing story by heart and repeating it is an awful lot easier: but although doing this a lot may be a way of learning some of the storytelling skills, it isn't the same as creating your very own stories.)
it's also interesting seeing kids learning to get, retell and then learn to make up jokes: some of the part-way stages are decidedly surreal.
