We got back from Sweden and suddenly I can wake up in the mornings. I think the intense daylight in Sweden helped kick my brian back to life, and it's daylight when I leave the house now too (8 am). This means I arrrive at work on time, awake and ready to think. This is good.

In my absence my boss, who has now gone on holiday for two weeks, guaranteed that we'd achieve 70 sites on this month. I have been refusing to add my promise to his guarantee, while nonetheless being under obligation to make sure it's met. I've also been having Meetings. Argh. What a waste of time.

Things went well at work while I was away; I needn't have had nightmares after all. I'm sure it's not normal to spend two days at the end of a holiday feeling physically sick and shaking and jumpy all the time from sheer dread of returning to work. Also, my sister is going to have another baby, about 5 weeks after my wedding.

Other good news - I have reopened communications with an old friend; we drifted apart a few years ago and seem to be drifting back together again. She's having a baby too, in a month. I'm glad we've reopened communications; it means I can invite her to my wedding.
