Work is once again hectic, but I feel a bit better. We are now five of eight, which is nicer than half-staff, but both people in Connections are out - one sick, one skiing. We're going to have someone start at 07:30 and finish at 16:30 to cover the phones for early metering calls. This willl help.

After work, I was miserable enough that I went to Waterstone's and bougt books. I was reading alt.poly late last night and someone mentioned Noel Streatfield, and suddenly I remembered 11 books I desperately need to own. So I bought Ballet Shoes and A Vicarage Family, and ordered Apple Bough, White Boots, Gemma, When the Sirens Wailed, Thursday's Child, Far to Go and The Growing Summer. I'm still looking for the titles for some of the others.

Then I met Janice and Rob in town and we ate dinner. Rob and I hadn't eaten much all week, due to being very sick - him from one end, me from the other. It was nice. And when we went home we felt relaxed enough to be pleasant to one another, which doesn't happen nearly enough.
