ailbheHis parents came and left. It was quite pleasant, although I was a tired zombie creature. They gave us gifts - they often do. This time it was birthday gifts; 6 cups and saucers to match the new tableware we bought from IKEA (woo!), a jumbo box of Maltesers, and a voucher, good in any shop in the UK, for the special gift of my choice (er, money).
It was also the occasion of the presentation of Inger's new computer, sekritly bought for her by Alan and Rob. She thought she was getting an upgrade from parts - the whole new box came as a surprise. I think she liked it :) which is good; we've been keeping it secret for ages.
Rob cooked shepherd's pie, with tomatoes again (he always does!) and we drank tea from the new cups (woo!).
