Unusually, I feel guilty about this. As I said to Rob, "I feel fine, apart from feeling wretched."

He gave me a look.

"Look, apart from the cold and the nose and the chest and the tummy and feeling so hot and tired and sick, I feel fine."

He phoned work to say I was sick.
